The PicturePA.org Web site, http://www.PicturePA.org, is provided as a public service. The site is managed by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency in the office of the Governor.
This site is divided into two sections, public and member organizations.
The public site provides sorting of exhibitions, and the option of receiving email alerts of newly listed exhibitions. Renting of exhibitions from member organizations is viable; however, the PCA will not accept applications for funding from non-member organizations renting from members.
Member organizations can list exhibitions available for rental, and apply for funding to rent exhibitions. To be eligible for funding, the exhibition must be listed on this site, and be originated (curated) from a member organization.
Membership to Picture Pennsylvania is limited to Pennsylvania non-profit 501 (c)3 organizations. Membership is at the discretion of the PCA.

In response to the needs ensuring equal access to electronic and information technologies, PicturePA.org has been developed according to a set of Universal Access Design standards for Web pages.
Universal Access Design calls for appropriate use of auxiliary aids and services where necessary to ensure clear communication. The adhered to standards are developed in part based on recommendations by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). The process of incorporating Universal Access Design elements into PicturePA.org will evolve as the site grows, and also as the standards themselves grow.
